This album is completely captioned. I bought my plush Scottish terrier in 2011, during my first visit to the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, my favorite monument in Washington, DC. Roosevelt had a Scottish terrier named Murray the Outlaw of Falahill, or Fala for short. Fala is memorialized in a statue next to a statue of FDR in the third term room of the memorial on the Second World War. Fala is the only presidential pet to be so honored in a presidential memorial. My Scottish terrier is named Roosie, both after FDR, and also after Rosie the Riveter and the millions of other every day Americans who helped Roosevelt by serving their country.
